How do I add my new publication to CRO?

  1. Log in to Elements (https://publications.city.ac.uk/).
  2. From the Homepage, select Add New.

  1. Select the appropriate publication type from the options.

  1. Type in title to check if it already exists on the system.
  2. Claim article if appropriate.
  3. Skip if article is not already in Elements.

  1. On the Tell us more tab, add as much information about the publication as possible, including:
    1. Select yourself as author.
    2. Add co-authors.
    3. Add journal name.
    4. Add acceptance date.
    5. Select save to finish.

  1. Grants are now managed through Worktribe so click Grant not listed.

  1. Deposit advice is available

  2. Choose file from your hard drive to upload

  3. Upload the author accepted manuscript and select Accepted version from the File version drop down menu. If published Gold Open accedd you can upload the published version and select Published version.

  4. Click upload

  1. Click Deposit my publication to complete the upload. This will move the publication into our repository admin area where the publications team checks for copyright and metadata and makes the publication available on City Research Online
