Reading textbooks on Cambridge Higher Education

Cambridge textbooks are available on their Higher Education website. Use links from Library Search or the Databases A-Z to log in with your @city.ac.uk email and password. This gives you read-only access. If you want to make use of the advanced study tools such as bookmarking, printing and annotations, you will also need a Cambridge account.

If you already have a personal account on Cambridge Core you can use these details.

If you do not have a Cambridge Core account you can register for one on the Higher Education website.

Registration

  1. Log in to Cambridge Higher Education.
  2. Select Register.
  3. Enter the details required. The organisation name is City University London.

Using advanced study tools

  1. Log in to Cambridge Higher Education.
  2. Select Log in.
  3. Select Log in with your Cambridge Core account.
  4. Enter the email address and password for your Cambridge Core account.
  5. Search for the textbook you require using the search box.
  6. Select Read this book online or read online for a particular chapter.
  7. The book or chapter will then load in a new tab and the advanced study tools will be available.
