Reading textbooks on Cambridge Higher Education

Cambridge textbooks are now available on their new Higher Education website. The normal City login allows you to read textbooks online. If you want to make use of the advanced study tools such as bookmarking, printing and annotations, you will also need a Cambridge account.

If you already have a personal account on Cambridge Core you can use these details.

If you do not have a Cambridge Core account you can register for one on the Higher Education website.

Registration

  1. Log in to Cambridge Higher Education.
  2. Select Register.
  3. Enter the details required. The organisation name is City University London.

Using advanced study tools

  1. Log in to Cambridge Higher Education.
  2. Select Log in.
  3. Select Log in with your Cambridge Core account.
  4. Enter the email address and password for your Cambridge Core account.
  5. Search for the textbook you require using the search box.
  6. Select Read this book online or read online for a particular chapter.
  7. The book or chapter will then load in a new tab and the advanced study tools will be available.

Read online unavailable

Cambridge are still in the process of moving textbooks from Cambridge Core to Cambridge Higher Education. If a title has not yet been moved to the new platform, there will be a message saying content for this title is coming soon. In the meantime you can view the title on Cambridge Core. Please follow their link to Cambridge Core to read the textbook.
