Consumer streaming platforms (such as Netflix or Amazon Prime) do not offer institutional licenses for academic libraries. Suggested alternative options for streaming video content include:

Box of Broadcasts (BoB)

BoB lets you view, record, create clips and share broadcast programmes from TV and radio channels. The resource is for educational use only and if you are located outside the UK you will only be able to access the BBC Parliament channel.

Teaching staff can request from a selection of additional programming via Learning on Screen’s Off-Air Recording Back-Up Service. Contact our Arts Subject Librarian for more information.

Kanopy

Films, documentaries and educational videos in a range of subjects are available for you to stream through Kanopy.

CityLibrary Search

You can use CityLibrary Search to find additional streaming videos:

  1. Under 'Refine your search' go to the 'Content type' filter
  2. Select ‘streaming video’.

Content type filter on CityLibrary Search with 'streaming video' selected
