The ProQuest databases platform includes a variety of academic databases. Some of these databases feature a simple text-to-speech reader tool for HTML web content.

Where available, you can find the reader embedded at the top of the article text.

  1. Press the Listen button.
  2. A pop out dialogue will open. The dialogue can be moved on the page. Here you can control the audio:
    1. pause
    2. speed
    3. volume
    4. download audio file.

Databases that may feature this tool include:

  • Literature Online
  • Music Periodical Database
  • Materials Science & Engineering Collection
  • Entrepreneurship Database
