From Wednesday 11th December 2024, Library Services are piloting a new ‘Bring Your Own Device’ (BYOD) service on levels 2 and 3 of Northampton Square Library.  There will be ‘hybrid’ monitors on each floor and these will be clearly labelled.

You can plug in your own device as long as it is capable of connecting to a USB C port, and library laptops can also be attached.  The hybrid monitor will give you the option of splitting between two screens or mirroring.

You can also charge your device at these workstations whilst making proper use of the connected monitor, but please do not leave your items unattended.

This is a pilot service and we will be asking for your feedback at the end of January to determine whether we expand the number of hybrid stations across the floors and sites.
